The countdown has begun! Only a couple of weeks until the start of the big game hunting season in New Mexico. Bear and antelope starts towards the end of August, elk and deer September 1st. Preparations are well under way. Many excited folks who drew tags for this Fall season are already scouting, some camps are being prepared, and the “locals” are gearing up for the influx of hunters.
Although it is too late for this year, now is the time to look around and find that perfect hunting property. Many of the larger ranches receive landowner tags each year, and even the smaller hunting properties can receive elk tags through the draw system.
We have a number of larger ranches listed for sale, and can help you find a great hunting property if one of these does not suit your needs. Call us and we will be happy to answer all your questions and show you around.
Bring the whole family: in addition to ranches for sale there are fun things to do in the Southwest part of New Mexico: The county fair in Reserve will take place at the end of August, it always has a great rodeo, and the Pie festival in Pie Town will be held the second Saturday of September.
