Southwest New Mexico is known for its varied and beautiful landscapes, from endless plains to majestic mountain ranges, and of course for its fantastic hunting opportunities.
In addition though there are many interesting places to visit. A fun weekend would start with the Bosque Del Apache, a wildlife refuge between Albuquerque and Socorro. There are many species of birds to be found. Drive further south and you will get to Spaceport America. This is the home base to many commercial space flight and rocket launch programs. Visitors can take a 3.5 hr. tour in and around the port. To cool off, drive over to Elephant Butte State Park. There is camping, boating, fishing, swimming etc. Of course a visit to this part of New Mexico would not be complete without a stop in Hatch, home of the famous Hatch green chile. The chile pepper is New Mexico’s state vegetable, and is used in many dishes, from eggs to burgers to pizza.
And after all this don’t forget to take a look around the ranches for sale, be they small or large. We are always ready to show you some great properties.
